Kahawa Estate coffee wins bronze at Royal Hobart

Entering our coffee into food awards gives us a chance to benchmark our products and establish credentials in the Australian premium food industry.  2010 was the first year we decided to enter our Kahawa Estate coffee into a competition, entering Kahawa Magma in the Royal Hobart Fine Food Awards.

The Royal Hobart Fine Food Awards are hosted by the Royal Agricultural Society (RAST) of Tasmania. Established in 1995, these Fine Food Awards are one of the most respected and longest running food awards in Australia. The awards aim to promote and encourage excellence in the Australian food industry by providing a quality bench-marking system that enables fine food producers to assess the quality of their products against their contemporaries and competitors.

Kahawa Estate Magma was awarded a Bronze Medal in the 2010 Royal Hobart Fine Food Awards.

We are delighted to announce that we were awarded a Bronze Medal for Kahawa Magma, in our first year of competition!

“This is a testament to just how far we have come in the last six years,” said Jos Webber, roastmaster at Kahawa Estate.

“In just our third year of producing beans, we are delighted to have recieved this recognition.  We see these awards as a great way to get feedback from our peers and the industry so we can continue to improve our product.”
